The 6th Belt and Road-Colorful Yunnan International Car Rally is going on in Cambodia these days, with a off-road race held in Preah Vihear on November 25 and a sports-service promotion in Phnom Penh on November 27.
Kicking off in central Yunnan’s Kunming city on November 16, the sixth car rally has reached the Laotian provinces of Luang Prabang and Vang Vieng on November 20 and 21.
The rally participants visited Souphanouvong University in Luang Prabang, and in Vang Vieng they met with the Lao representatives in sports, information, culture and tourism.
In the days to come, the Yunnan car rally will travel through Thailand, and the event participants are expected to end their 7,000km odyssey in south Yunnan’s Xishuangbanna on December 6.
This year’s rally is jointly hosted by Yunnan Province Sports Bureau, Dali Prefecture Government, Lincang Municipal Government and Xishuangbanna Prefecture Government, in a bid to increase people-to-people exchanges in the Lancang-Mekong region.
