Yunnan eco-experience presented at COP30 China Pavilion event

Yunnan teas and cultural products are displayed at the China Pavilion.

The Yunnan experience on eco-protection was presented at the China Pavilion sideline event of the ongoing 30th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP30) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in Belém, Brazil.

Focusing on ecological civilization and the practices of building a beautiful China, the event aimed to share China's stories on eco-progress in recent years and showcase the Chinese specialties.

An official with Yunnan Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment delivered a thematic presentation titled "Implementing the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework: Yunnan's Efforts in Building a Community of All Life on Earth."

The presentation elaborated that Yunnan is not only renowned globally as the "Kingdom of Plants," "Kingdom of Animals," and "World Garden," but also a steadfast practitioner turning the vision of the Framework into reality.

Yunnan agricultural specialties are displayed at the China Pavilion.

One representative from southeast Yunnan’s Malipo county told the county's practices of using old tea trees for eco-protection and green growth, while the other representative from south Yunnan’s Jinping Miao, Yao, and Dai autonomous county presented local agricultural specialties.
