The 10th Asia Microfilm Art Festival was opened in Lincang city, southwest Yunnan province, on November 24.
This year’s festival is participated by film producers and media organizations from across China, including the Xinhua News Agency and China Media Group(CMG).
The total number of microfilms being involved in the festival exceeds 2,800, covering a wide range or themes, from love story to family memory, and from folk culture to environmental conservation.

According to the statistics, this festival has received over 30,000 entries from more than 30 countries, such as the U.S., Russia, France, Thailand and Vietnam, for the past decade.
As a result, Lincang which is a multi-ethnic city sitting on China’s border with Myanmar has already been transformed into a new hub for international cinema exchanges.
Several cultural and tourist facilities, including the Asian Microfilm Museum and Asia Microfilm Theme Park, have also been built up to bring more tourists to Lincang for the film culture and beyond.
