Exhibition on Yunnan-Vietnam Railway goes on in Kunming

Visitors admire the historic Yunnan-Vietnam Railway at Kunming Municipal Museum.

The "Centennial Light though Time and Space, Historical Bond between Mountains and Sea" exhibition on the Yunnan-Vietnam Railway opened in central Yunnan’s Kunming Municipal Museum on December 18.

The exhibition is based on the book: The Century-Old Yunnan-Vietnam Railway: A Link Across Mountains and Sea. The book is authored by Zhang Yanling, Zheng Xi and Shi Ru, who teach at Kunming University of Science and Technology and conducted field surveys of the entire Yunnan-Vietnam Railway in three years.

Featuring over 230 selected photos and drawings from the book, the exhibition focuses on the key nodes and representative stations along the railway. It presents the century-long transformation of the Yunnan-Vietnam Railway from diverse perspectives, restoring the complete picture of this historic route.

The exhibition was co-organized by the Yunnan Provincial Urban and Rural Planning Association, the School of Architecture and Planning at Kunming University of Science and Technology, the Kunming Municipal Museum, and the School of Architecture at Tianjin University.
