Thai coastal city may forge sisterly ties with Lincang

“Thailand and Lincang will further deepen cooperation and explore new collaboration models in the future, such as establishing a sister-city relationship between Lincang and a Thai coastal city,” said Sirawadee Ngamwisedchaikul, deputy consul-general of Thailand in Kunming.

Sirawadee said this during a recent visit to southwest Yunnan’s Lincang city, adding she was particularly impressed by the Lincang tea. The Thai diplomat noted Thailand has six coastal cities, while Lincang is China’s gateway to Myanmar and the Indian Ocean at large.
