Flaming Torches Illuminate the “Flower Capital of Asia”

Tens of Thousands Celebrate Torch Festival in Chenggong, Kunming

In late July 2025, Chenggong District in Kunming, Yunnan Province, hosted the 19th Flower Capital Cultural Tourism Festival and the 10th Luolong Torch Festival.

The event featured a vibrant lineup of cultural performances, bonfire galas, electronic music parties, and more. Highlights included demonstrations of intangible cultural heritage, a creative cultural fair, and diverse culinary experiences, drawing nearly 80,000 visitors.

With the torch as a symbol and culture as a bridge, the two festivals brought people of all ethnic backgrounds together, celebrating unity, harmony, and the vibrant spirit of a diverse community.
