Lao expert of botany tell stories of the forest
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the discovery of tropical rain forests in China. Recently, we visited the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden and followed Kittisack Phoutthavong, a Lao doctoral student from the Key Laboratory of Tropical Forest Ecology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, who is an expert on tropical rainforests, to learn about flowers and plants, and see the species introduced through China-Laos cooperation, and listen to the stories of conservation.
