Jakarta visitors, Yunnan calls on you to come
Highlighting the many-splendored provincial life, a Yunnan cultural and tourism promotion will be staged in Jakarta, Indonesia, on May 15, and YICC specially rolls out a music video for this occasion. The following is transcript of the lyrics.
Jakarta visitors, Yunnan calls on you to come
Verse 1
Volcanoes cradle ancient stupas' reflection;
Terraced fingerprints press on rainforest's skin;
Prambanan sunset brews tea staining Komodo's fin.
Rhinos roam with scriptures from forgotten dynasties.
Oh Jakarta visitors, Yunnan calls you through monsoon's hymn,
borrowing a stone from Borobudur to mend the old town's rim.
Indian Ocean winds strum Lijiang's carved wooden eaves;
Bronze vessels are filled with spices for cultural exchanges.
Verse 2
Batik patterns have waltz with the indigo tie-dye swirls;
Shadow puppets dance to Bai strings of shining pearls.
Clove-like coffee aroma floats to Pu'er's tea domain;
Temple bells cascade through Honghe's terraced chain.
Sunken porcelain brews coral through time's slow grind;
Zheng He's maritime routes are pearled in ages entwined.
Stupa steps are numbering Hani's mushroom houses tall;
Komodo glides where Yuanyang's watery mirrors sprawl.
Three Rivers' water-ink scripts archipelago's ancient lore,
where rhinos tread and life's symphonies forever roar.
The end
Oh Jakarta folks, Yunnan's call reaches the volcanic cone;
Snow peaks send invites where tectonic plates have grown.
Clove twirls with tea leaves in monsoon's mailing spree;
World Heritage pages hold our shared legacy for free.
Yogyakarta's shadow puppets dance in Dali's dyed hue;
Stupa stones embroider clouds which snow peaks renew.
Jakarta tourists, Yunnan awaits you where horizons blend!
Mountain-sea dialogues the Earth's growth rings transcend.
