Yunnan publicity delegation visits Nepal, Cambodia and Myanmar

Zeng Yan, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee and director-general of the Publicity Department of Yunnan Party Committee, led a Yunnan delegation to Nepal, Cambodia and Myanmar for friendly visits from September 18 to 27.

During the visits, the delegation held talks with representatives of the central governments, publicity departments, local governments and non-governmental friendly organizations in the three countries.

With the topics focusing on cultural exchanges, mutual learning among civilizations and people-to-people exchanges, the talks carried forward project-based cooperation in news and reports, new-media development and cultural tourism, as well as translation and broadcast for films and TV plays.

The Yunnan delegation visited the national TV stations and other media organizations in the countries for signings of cooperation agreements, looked into the national museums and other cultural institutions for joint protection of cultural heritages, and called on the Chinese central media branches for cooperation in international communication.

The Yunnan delegates also joined in international cultural exchanges such as iYunnan in Cambodia, learning about the Yunnan enterprises’ investment and operation in the three countries and calling on the Chinese embassies for exchanges of views on increasing cooperation between Yunnan and the three countries.
