Artificial cultivation of Jizong mushrooms patented

As Yunnan's mushroom-picking tour has unexpectedly gained popularity in recent years, many people from other regions have fallen in love with this local delicacy. Among them, deep-fried Jizong mushrooms (Termitomyces mushrooms) is the most famous.

Now, the cultivation of this delicious wild mushroom has also been patented. In July, the Yunnan Academy of Forestry and Grassland and Lijiang Linjie Biological Resource Development Co., Ltd.

jointly obtained an invention patent titled A Method for Promoting the Reproduction and Yield of Wild Termitomyces Mushrooms in Termite Nests.

According to technical experts, a termite nest can produce Termitomyces mushrooms for 30 to 50 years. As long as there is enough food source, the yield of the mushrooms can multiply. It is estimated that between June and October this year, around 1.4 tons of Termitomyces mushrooms will be harvested.
