Carry Oxygen in a Flask!

Prabha Chettri, an women entrepreneur of Mangan, Sikkim is only 24 years old. But she had made a great invention -a portable oxygen container light to carry easy to use. Though it looks simple like an ordinary tea flask, this product is very much needed for people in high altitude areas.
Mountaineers and tourists visiting the stunning state of Sikkim and other Himalayan states, face many hurdles for oxygen in the high altitude for which the mountain is famous. This portable oxygen canister is specifically designed to combat altitude sickness, a long-standing issue for travellers exploring high-altitude regions. It was unveiled as an innovative solution called “Himalayan Oxy”.
With Sikkim experiencing numerous cases of respiratory distress and unfortunate fatalities over the years, the introduction of this convenient oxygen canister comes as a much-needed relief. The Himalayan Oxy canister is primarily intended for use in popular high- altitude destinations like Nathula Pass.
Recognizing the critical significance of this ground- breaking innovation, the Department of Transport recently issued a notification urging tourists to carry the oxygen canister as an essential companion during their journeys to higher elevations. Many tourists and climbers are using the novel product
in the high-altitude region.
