Yi embroidery on display at Paris trade fair
Art pieces of the Yi embroidery from central Yunnan’s Chuxiong are displayed at the ongoing Foire de Paris 2024.
More than 60 art pieces of the Yi embroidery from central Yunnan’s Chuxiong prefecture has appeared at the ongoing Foire de Paris 2024, showcasing the unique charm of Yi culture to the world.
As part of the Chinese cultural exhibition at the fair, the Yi embroidery pieces are also displayed to mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France.

Lasting from May 1 to 12, Foire de Paris 2024 takes place at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, bringing together 3,000 plus exhibitors from some 100 countries and regions around the world.
Before Paris, the Chuxiong Yi embroidery had appeared at the fashion stages in New York and Milan, and in the coming September, it will also show up in the China-Europe cultural exchanges for mutual learning.
