Museum themed on tofu makes a hit online

The Shiping tofu ancient city museum in Shiping county of Honghe Hani and Yi autonomous prefecture in Yunnan province went viral locally and abroad during this May Day holiday.
Tourists visited the museum watching singing and dancing performances, and tried to make tofu themselves. During the unique experience, they learned about the history of Shiping tofu making, producing techniques and even legends of tofu.

“I learned much about the processes of making Shiping tofu and its culture and history,” said tourist Li Longxue, “and I hope more people could try the delicious tofu here after visiting the place.”

“This is the only tofu museum in Yunnan. Since the birth of Shiping tofu till now, generations of Shiping people have been creating tofu delicacies,” said Lu Dan, curator of the museum.
