Lijiang fuses fresh flowers into tourist gifts

"We’ll expand floral art training and design more rose-themed souvenirs to provide tourists with a wider range of options," said Li Zhimin, head of the marketing service center at Lijiang's Flowers in northwest Yunnan.

Stepping into the marketing center, visitors are enveloped in a rich, soothing rose fragrance. The roses were grown at the Lijiang Modern Flower Industrial Park.

As the brand’s popularity grows, more tourists and locals are flocking to purchase these fresh blooms.

"Peak daily sales exceed 3,000 stems, and total sales in the first half of this year have already surpassed 200,000 stems," Li added.

Duan Baoyun, a tourist from Kunming, said the roses feature vibrant colors, beautiful shapes, and a delicate fragrance. “I’ll take some home," said Duan.
