Yuxi earns 20 mil yuan yearly from handmade brown sugar

Guo Chungao, the head of Yunnan Guxun Brown Sugar Co., Ltd., introduced that the traditional handmade brown sugar made from Yunnan’s mountain cane using 18 traditional methods and is entirely handcrafted. The product comes in various flavors such as rose, red date, ginger, tea, donkey-hide gelatin, cistanche, and osmanthus. What’s more, the brown sugar is of soft texture, sweet, and dissolves quickly in water without residue, making it highly popular in the market.

Since its launch, the brown sugar has been sold exclusively through e-commerce platforms, reaching both domestic and international markets, with demand consistently exceeding supply. The annual revenue has reached over 20 million yuan, and the brand has maintained a high level of reputation, awareness, and influence.

"Our next plan is to develop an integrated production, sales, and base industrial chain. Currently, our sugarcane planting base covers an area of about 33 hectare, and we aim to expand it to around 200 hectare,” said Guo with confidence.
