2,333 hectares of avocados bear fruits in Menglian

Recently, the avocado bases in Menglian Dai Lahu and Wa autonomous county of Pu’er city in Yunnan province, have been filled with lush avocados hanging from the branches.

Currently, Menglian County has 7,333 hectare of avocado plantations, with 2,333 hectare of the trees entering the fruiting stage. It is expected that by the end of September, high-quality products can be steadily supplied to the market.

Menglian is known as the emerald of the borderlands. Its red soil creates unique natural conditions ideal for large-scale avocado cultivation. And Menglian avocados are highly mature, have a high dry matter content, and boast a rich, unique aroma. They can go from the trees to the markets in cities Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou within 72 hours, making them highly favored by avocado enthusiasts.

Currently, Menglian has become the largest avocado growing area in China.
