China’s first major in marriage services sees high enrollment

China's first undergraduate major in marriage services, the Marriage Service and Management program at China Civil Affairs Vocational University, began recruiting students this summer and has already filled all 70 spots.

The major curriculum covers management, sociology, psychology, marriage-related laws and policies, marriage service and management, and the marriage industry economy.

The purpose of establishing this major is to address the talent gap in the industry, meet the needs of industry transformation and upgrading, and align with national marriage and family development objectives.

The university expects the employment rate of graduates to be about 60% to 70%, with job positions mainly focused on wedding service sales, wedding planning, hosts, photography, videography, floral art, makeup, and so on.
