Yunnan cyclist wins silver medal at Hangzhou Asiad Yuan Jinwei (L) and other medalists are at the awarding ceremony.

Yuan Jinwei, a cyclist from central Yunnan’s Kunming city, claimed the silver medal at men's cross country race of mountain bike at the ongoing Hangzhou Asian Games on September 25, finishing the race in 1 hour, 35 minutes and 49 seconds.

The gold medal was secured by Mi Jiujiang, a cyclist from Yunnan’s neighboring province of Guizhou, as he crossed the line in 1:32:37. Japanese cyclist Toki Sawada secured a bronze medal.

Back to 2018, Yunnan cyclists Ma Hao and Lu Xianjing won both gold and silver medals at men's cross country race of mountain bike at the 18th Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia.
