Flying Tigers' Yunnan Food memoir
More than 80 years ago, in the 1940s, a group of American pilots came to Yunnan and asisited the Chinese people aganist Japanese aggression.
They drove planes to tranport war-needed goods from India to Yunnan, and then to other parts of China. They became friends with local Yunnan people and were given the name "Flying Tigers" .
These days as Chinese President Xi is in the US to attend the APEC summit and meet with President Biden, Yunnan daily make this video to tell the friendship between flying tigers and Yunnan people, in the hope of promoting people-to-people understanding between the two countries.
