Baoshan city features coffee at Mt. Gaoligong
In western Yunnan, Baoshan is a city famous for its coffee. Here, you can see red coffee beans growing on the slopes of Mt. Gaoligong, as well as colorful ethnic fabrics. There are ancient city streets with scattered traditional houses, and within these houses, you can find various coffee shops hidden away providing coffee of natural flavor.
When the urban vibe of coffee and the rich ethnic flavor of this small city surrounded by towering mountains are presented, it becomes a unique “special blend” waiting for tourists to explore.
Baoshan stands on the famous coffee planting latitude belt, situated at the northern end of this belt.
To the west lies the Mt. Gaoligong, home to the world's genetic repository, while to the east flows the international river, Nujiang. With the planting area ranging from 600 to 1800 meters above sea level, the unique natural environment and geographical location have created Baoshan's Arabica coffee, known for its rich but not bitter flavor and its pleasant fragrance not over strong, and the coffee also has unique and natural flavor of sour fruits.
