During the Spring Festival holiday that lasted from Feb. 9 to 17, the edible fungi under trial planting in Xiaozhai village of east Yunnan’s Luoping county has entered the harvesting period.
Various types of edible fungi in the base of planter Su Hongyong are growing vigorously. Last year, Su raised over 900,000 yuan to start the trial planting of edible fungi.
Because of the unique location and good ecological environment of Xiaozhai plantation, and the development trend of modern smart agriculture, Su actively sought guidance from edible fungi planting experts and technicians. By developing the edible fungi industry through the construction of AI mushroom sheds, he aimed to boost local income, help people become more prosperous, and contribute to rural revitalization.
The mushrooms grown by Su Hongyong have a promising market outlook, especially before the Spring Festival, because they were planted of staggered season. The fresh bamboo fungus products are in short supply, with prices rising to 230-280 yuan/kg.
