Suggestions on medicine, holiday, individual income tax and living skills may be proposed during the Two Sessions

Suggestions on medicine, holiday, individual income tax and living skills may be proposed during the Two Sessions. Suggestions below set fire in the comments section!

The annual national Two Sessions refer to the second session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) and the second session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). The Two Sessions kicked off on March 4 and will last till March 11.

The year 2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and is a crucial year for the realization of the goals and tasks of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025). Deputies and members from various Chinese sectors and regions have put forward suggestions closely related to the lives of the people, sparking heated discussions among net users.

How about producing drug instructions with larger fonts?

An Ting, one of the CPPCC members, suggested using larger fonts and simplified versions for drug instructions. Most comments online expressed support for the proposal. Some even suggested adding QR codes to the instructions, allowing users to scan and access the large font version or audio version.

Do young people need more annual leaves?

Huo Qigang, one of the NPC deputies, proposed increasing the number of annual days for young people to leave and implementing mandatory paid annual leave policies. On the evening of March 3, the topic quickly became the number one trending topic on Weibo.

An eye-catching comment said: At least 10 days of rest should be provided for the Spring Festival!! Otherwise, where's the significance of the Spring Festival to the Chinese people?"

Should the individual income tax threshold be raised?

Zhang Xuewu, one of the deputies of NPC, proposed raising the individual income tax threshold to 8,000 yuan.

When it comes to "money," the comment section becomes lively. Apart from saying "I have long felt it should be this way," some netizens inadvertently revealed their own income.

For example, one netizen said: "Paying taxes isn't scary, what's scary is that the boss doesn't give me the opportunity to pay taxes."

Some netizens suggested a tiered, proportional tax system, proposing a starting point of 6,000 yuan. Immediately, someone replied with a bold guess, "Your salary should be around 5,500 now."

The "tax payment" issue also prompted thoughts on other matters:

One netizen suggested taxing based on family income, which would allow for a reasonable division of labor and enable one person to take care of the children at home.

Is it necessary to learn life skills in school?

NPC deputy Chen Cheng suggested courses on cleaning, cooking and labor for students from elementary school to university.

Meanwhile, some parents described their children's current situation, indicating the necessity of such courses. They mentioned that they don't buy shoes with laces for their children. The kids don't know how to tie shoelaces.

Regarding the addition of courses, some comments, seemingly from university students, suggested offering courses on Chinese kung fu to improve physical fitness and self-defense.

Other netizens took a more thoughtful approach, stating that this responsibility actually falls more on families. They emphasized that not everything needs to be taught in schools, and that cooperation between families and schools is necessary to ensure children's overall health and future development.
