Rural income in Yunnan grows by 8% year-on-year

The per capita disposable income of rural residents in Yunnan province exceeded 16,361 yuan in 2023, marking an 8% year-on-year increase.

Yunnan's fruit industry has seen continuous improvement in both popularity and competitiveness, with many areas adopting the “fruit plus” development model. By the end of 2023, Yunnan ranked 7th in Chinese provinces in planting area and 9th in fruit production.

Yunnan tea-producing areas of Lincang, Pu'er, Xishuangbanna and Baoshan contributed to 13.3% of China's total tea output. Moreover, Yunnan produced 558,100 tons of tea in 2023, marking a 4.5% increase.

Yunnan also enhanced its flower industry. Today, Yunnan maintains its global leadership in fresh-cut flower production area and output, with a 6.5% year-on-year increase in 2023.
