Zhejiang young man opens hot-pot chain in Netherlands

Zhong Xuefeng, a young man from Yuecheng district of Shaoxing city in Zhejiang province, was born in late 1980s. Starting his own business overseas, he has opened a hot pot chain restaurant named Feiteng Sanguo that has five branches in four cities in the Netherlands. The restaurants then became online-famous.

"I have some Dutch friends, and we take turns to prepare salads, pizzas, baked desserts, grilled meats and other food for gatherings,” said Zhong, recalling about the idea of opening hot pot restaurants overseas. “When it was my turn, I prepared hot pot, and unexpectedly, my friends really loved it."

Five years ago, Zhong opened the first hot pot restaurant in Amsterdam's Chinatown, and since then, he has opened one in each of the three cities of Rotterdam, Eindhoven, and Utrecht in the Netherlands. The customer flow and sales volume continued to increase.
