Tiaocai dance becomes cheerleading aerobics in school

Tiaocai, a dish-serving dance, was recently performed by students of a elementary school in Nanjian Yi autonomous county, west Yunnan’s Dali prefecture.

Tiaocai originated from the traditional banquet of the Yi people, which is a ceremonial dance performed during dish serving to express respect for guests and create a joyful atmosphere. This dance showcases the Yi people's love for life and reverence for nature.

At this school, this traditional dance has been creatively choreographed with modern elements, making it easier for students to learn.
