Axi ethnic girls harvest mushrooms

Girls of the Axi people, a branch the Yi ethnic group, are busy picking, sorting and transporting Morchella mushrooms in Damaidi village, south Yunnan’s Mile city.

The 0.67 ha Morchella mushrooms in the village have entered the peak production period, and the harvesting period will last for two months. The mushrooms are expected to have an annual yield of 1 ton and a production value of 120,000 yuan.
