Hekou border gate crossed by 1.27 million in Q1

The Hekou dry port near the China-Vietnam border section in south Yunnan was crossed by more than 1.27 million persons in the first quarter of this year, with the cross-border freight reaching 624,000 tons.

The Hekou border crossing is a key stop on the "Kunming-Hanoi-Haiphong" economic corridor. As the largest land port on the Yunnan section of the Sino-Vietnamese boundary, it pilots Yunnan’s opening-up to the Southeast Asian market.
