A keynote speech at the 7th China (Yunnan)-Bangladesh Cooperation Dialogue

Jointly hosted by the Development Research Center of Yunnan Provincial People's Government and the Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies, the dialogue meeting included an opening, keynote speeches and sub-topic discussions.

Representatives from the think tanks, universities and enterprises in Yunnan and Bangladesh attended the meeting, with their sub-topic discussions focusing on key areas for trade cooperation, green energy cooperation, construction of international gateway, and others.

The discussions were followed by signing of a memorandum for the dialogue meeting.

Initiated by the hosts in 2009, the Yunnan-Bangladesh dialogue meeting is held alternatively in the two places, and it aims to complement the Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar (BCIM) Regional Cooperation Forum and other mechanisms, while contributing to construction of the BCIM Economic Corridor.
