Home for birds preserved in Xishuangbanna

Piaohai birding site in Xishuangbanna Dai autonomous prefecture of Yunnan province embraces various birds. There, birdwatching lovers can watch and take photos of the rare ones.

“We mainly have three birding sites here with each of unique birds,” introduced Piao Hai, a Hani guy who lives in the mountains. He likes birdwatching, thus, he invites in other birdwatching lovers and photographers here. Now, he is like an owner to the site. “Birdwatching gives me new income sources,” added Piao.

Today, Piao Hai earns a living by bird protecting and birdwatching. Other villagers also learn from his success and become bird guides, visitor transferors and pantrymen. Birds really bring prosperity to the local.
