Wild mushrooms available in bulk at Kunming market

"At 300 yuan per kilogram, I bought over two kilograms of Jianshouqing mushroom," said Mr. Hu, a resident at Mushuihua Mushroom Trading Center in central Yunnan’s Kunming city. Just like other residents, when the price is reasonable, he will buy some.

Currently, due to increased production, prices of many kinds of mushrooms such as Gushu mushrooms, Jianshouqing mushrooms, Qingtou mushrooms, Bainiugan and Heiniugan mushrooms have significantly decreased compared to early May.

"The price of Jianshouqing mushrooms ranges from 150 yuan to 400 yuan per kilogram. Other cheaper varieties are as low as 50 yuan per kilogram, which is more than half the price when they were first marketed," Mr. Bi, a vendor, explained.

Currently, the market has been trading around 3 tons per day last week, and has now reached about 10 tons. Moreover, after some rain, the production of wild mushrooms in Yunnan and other regions has significantly increased, leading to a noticeable decrease in the prices of most wild mushrooms.
