Herb market shines during Dragon Boat Festival

The herb market of Yiliang county in Zhaotong city, northeast Yunnan province was filled with bustles and hustles during Dragon Boat Festival. On that day, people in Yiliang not only sang and danced, ate Zongzi, and drank realgar wine, but also bought herbs in the market.

On June 10, the local people sold their herbs early in the morning. Hundreds of herbs like worm wood, bulrush, Tianma (gastrodia) and lingzhi (reishi mushroom) were seen in the market.
