Yunnan GDP grows by 4.6% in Q1

The regional Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Yunnan province added up to 700.186 billion yuan in the first quarter of 2024, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%, according to a news release on April 21.

Agricultural production is stable, and provincial seedling growth is better than that of the same period last year. The output of Yunnan vegetables, fruits, tea and fresh flowers increased by 4.7%, 7.8%, 4.2% and 20% respectively.

The number of foreign-trade enterprises continued rising, and provincial export increased by 4.6%. The exports in electronic processing, new energy and others grew fast, and trade at cross-border markets has been on the rise for 21 consecutive months.
