CMG broadcast vans arrive in Paris

A batch of 8K ultra-high-definition (UHD) live broadcast vans of China Media Group (CMG) for the Paris Olympics arrived in Paris on Monday afternoon.

After completing customs procedures at the Port of Rotterdam in Netherlands, the vans set out to the capital of France on Monday morning. The whole trip was about 430 km, passing through Belgium on the way.

The live broadcast vans will provide 8K UHD international public signals of the Paris Olympic Games track and field events as well as the closing ceremony to the world audience at the Stade de France.

As a leading broadcaster and the international media organization with the most broadcasting rights for the Paris Olympic Games, CMG is set to orchestrate its largest-scale Olympic Games coverage to date.

A production and technical service team of over 2,000 technicians will be responsible for producing pool signals for the four major events: gymnastics, table tennis, badminton, and rock climbing.

Meanwhile, the live broadcast will last over 400 hours, with more than 11,000 hours of high-quality signals for the competitions broadcast and distributed through television channels and new media terminals. They will be delivered entirely in 4K UHD for the first time abroad.
