Le Thi Loan: Kunming offers diverse shopping experiences
"Both Wenlin Street and Tiepi Lane are an integration of the shops that sell flowers, coffees, pastries, ornaments and others, so they can provide diverse shopping experiences to consumers," said Vietnamese girl Le Thi Loan during a recent interview in central Yunnan’s Kunming city.
Vietnamese girl Le Thi Loan is interviewed in central Yunnan’s Kunming city.
Le Thi Loan is an international student pursuing her master degree in journalism and communication at southeast China’s Fujian Normal University, and she was here in Kunming to attend the “Yunnan Hand in Hand Program” International Communicators Training Camp that lasted from August 4 to 10.
Le once worked as an intern at Ho Chi Minh City Television, mainly taking charge of photography. Her past experience has enabled her to better combine learning and thinking when attending the training camp, and she also quickly adapted herself to the living pace in Kunming.
"In the morning, I have a city walk around the Cuihu, or green lake area in downtown Kunming, stopping at the former site of Yunnan Military Academy, the main campus of Yunnan University and the Wenlin Street,” said Le, adding she was impressed by the live group dances on the city squares, which turned out to be fine materials for her traveling Vlog.
As for the shops in Kunming, Le regards Helehui as a typical case for diverse shopping experiences. “It is a small shop that focuses on image aesthetics for female consumers, but its slogan is 'everything about beauty'. Here, consumers can choose some jewelry, do a manicure, have a beauty make-up, and try new Chinese-style clothes,” said Le.
In the coffee shop next to Helehui, some consumers were getting together to have drinks and desserts, while others were having leisure by reading books, listening to music or else. “These innovative and integrated business formats are highlights of the consumptive vitality in Kunming," Le noted.
By putting into practice what she has learned in the international communicators training camp, Le looks forward to making more short videos on the shopping life and consumptive trends in Kunming, so that her friends in Vietnam could get to know more bout the enjoyable Yunnan life in an immersive way.
