Mohan handles travelers from over 100 countries, regions

From January 1 to August 14 this year, the Mohan Port near the China-Laos border serviced over 1.66 million travelers from 101 countries and regions, marking a year-on-year increase of 50.75% and 81.32%, respectively.

This is the first time in its 31-year history that the checkpoint has surpassed the 100-country mark in annual entries and exits.

Currently, the checkpoint handles an average of over 7,300 travelers daily, with a peak daily average of nearly 10,000 travelers. The top three countries for inbound and outbound travelers are Laos, Thailand, and Malaysia.
