Recently, a helicopter passenger service connecting Shanghai Pudong International Airport and the Kunshan City Terminal in Jiangsu province was officially launched, marking the first inter-provincial fixed-destination low-altitude passenger transport route in China.
Passengers can simply go through check-in procedures and then take a helicopter to travel between the two airports. The entire journey is approximately 85 kilometers and takes only about 25 minutes to fly.
To book a ticket, passengers need to make a reservation one day in advance through the booking hotline or online store.
During the trial phase, tickets are priced at 1,600 yuan (around 226 USD) per person. Passengers will receive dedicated assistance to guide them to the security checkpoint at the departure hall.
The helicopter can carry 3 to 4 passengers on a one-way trip, and each passenger is allowed to bring one piece of luggage with a size under 20 inches and a weight under 15 kilograms.
During the flight, passengers can enjoy scenic views of Shanghai Disneyland, the Yangtze River, and other attractions.
