Multicultural film week opens in Dali

The opening ceremony of the 2024 Colorful China Dali Multicultural Film Week

As the first cultural event held in Yunnan to showcase films with ethnic themes, the film week aims to show the diversity and richness of Chinese culture through the charm of cinematic arts.

Famous filmmakers and representatives of film and television businesses from all over China gathered in Dali to experience the unique ethnic customs and cultural charm of Dali.

At the opening, the original sound tracks (OSTs) of 6 famous movies and dramas filmed in Yunnan impressed the guests. The digital avatar "Xiao jin hua" made its debut at the opening, demonstrating the deep fusion of culture and sci-tech.

Zhang Deshun, Yang Shaohui and Zhang Guowei, as well as the Olympic athletes from Yunnan, attended the event and sent their best wishes. At the opening, certificates and trophies were also awarded to 10 outstanding films.

During the film week, public screenings and multicultural film carnivals will be held for the the audience, together with the activities of "Filmmakers' Dali Tour" and "Expert Symposium on Film and Television Development".

The event is hosted by the Fine Arts Center of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Radio and Television Administration of Yunnan Province, and the Dali Prefectural People's Government.
